Call the Board of Shamans
Another offering full of wonder & mystery from the depths of Ebay. Though I believe it's the photography & styling that's pushing my buttons right now, not the turban per se. The Mighty Boosh / Naboo factor on this one is uncanny. So here's one for Naboo, freelance shaman & boutique owner extraordinaire. I say chaps, this blog is turning into a right Nabootique.
'Vintage ladies turban...' - fromj2u, $19

The Mighty Boosh's freelance Shaman & vintage boutique (Nabootique) owner extraordinaire, the one, the only, Naboo! (as played by Michael Fielding)

Dig it for the digs
We moved into a huge house (well even an empty fridge packing box seems huge after living in a inner city workers cottage for a decade) and even though I spent the past ten years packed to the gills I've somehow held off filling the new place with crap or even setting it up. Renting a house I just never feel ready to commit to the ultimate set up - plagued by the fear that the moment it's all in place I'll have to move and sell it all when I am forced to fit back in shoebox. Fairly irrational given the marathon length of my last tenancy, but that's fear for you, completely irrational. Don't get me started on my driving phobia. Later dude.
So here's a few things I've had my eye on without any level of commitment. Like I say, I just like to watch. Once again you'll see the eclectic reigns supreme. I couldn't stick to a theme if my life depended on it. It's that erratic Gemini mind, constantly distracted by the next flashy oddball curio to come my way. Noel Fielding, not surprisingly is one. A Gemini that is. Not a flashy oddball curio. Actually, technically he's both. Ah, bless 'im. Anyway on with the show... nothing too fancy...

A cape called Vince

Clearly channeling Vince Noir with this one... It even looks like him don't you think? Noel Fielding wildest wardrobe fantasy couldn't have imagined this one. Thanks for the ride Killervintage01
Splodge Creaper, Happy Bloat, Gloworb, Monglelump
They all look like some kind of anal blight don't they? But in fact they're little collectible cards that came in cereal packs in the 70s. Kustom-65 Comics was selling a whole collection of these guys a little while back along with a bunch of collectible cereal toys. But these outer space monster menagerie guys are the bomb aren't they? Large die-cut cards 11.4 x 7.6cm from 'Spoon-size Vita Brits' 1970, $13.75 per pair. Splodge Creaper's quite the man about town isn't he, and what a name (swoon). But if it came down to just one pair then Gloworb & Monglelump win it for me. Dear sweet Monglelump... he just looks so happy to see me!

Why hoard at home when you can hoard online? Can't buy it? Watch it! My watch list is full of all things i may or may not buy, things that inspire and intrigue me. I like to keep it all. I'd like to keep it forever. But now I've hit my 200 item limit. You didn't think that was possible did you? Well it is. Don't beat yourself up if you find yourself falling short of the mark. The night's still young. But let's forget about you. Back to me & my 200 watch items which I'll now have to delete if I want to watch some more stuff. And believe me I do. But why throw out, I mean delete, all that good stuff out when I can just hoard it somewhere else... like here?
Eventually I'll sort this into some workable cohesive sense... but frankly i like the magic carpet ride motion sick all in one mad loon dump approach. Enjoy. I like to imagine a world filled to the brim with this stuff...
Actually I've changed my mind, just gonna post it one at a time
